Flexible Distance Online Study Options in Business, Commerce, Marketing and Accounting
NGI Online currently offers Distance Online study options within the School of Commerce. These programmes are designed to help you build practical business knowledge, develop career-focused skills and work towards a recognised qualification while studying from anywhere.
Bachelor of Commerce
The Bachelor of Commerce gives you a broad foundation in commerce, business management and related fields, while allowing you to build towards a more specialised career direction as you progress.
Your first six modules are common across the Bachelor of Commerce degrees and streams, giving you the opportunity to develop a strong foundation before confirming your area of focus.
Higher Certificate in Business Administration
The Higher Certificate in Business Administration is a 120-credit NQF Level 5 qualification that introduces you to the basics of business management and equips you for an entry-level role in business.
If you are already working, it can provide theoretical and skills-based support for your current role. It can also give you access to a degree on completion if you do not currently qualify for degree access.

NGI Online students have access to support designed to help them manage both the academic and practical parts of online learning.
This includes Success Tutors, digital helpdesks, academic skills support, AMP sessions, ICE formative tasks, the Student Success Hub and psychosocial support where needed.
How Long Does It Take?
Choose a Study Load That Works for You
You can select the number of modules you want to study at a time.
Each year of study has eight modules. A degree has 24 modules, while the Higher Certificate has eight modules.
Most full-time students can cope well with four modules in a cycle. Three modules is often a manageable part-time load.
Each module cycle is 20 weeks, which means you can participate in two cycles per year. You have six years to complete your degree, giving you flexibility while still working towards a clear goal.
How Much Does It Cost?

Each module fee includes one supplementary examination should you need it.
